Table GroupsWe learn more about one another during a single dinner conversation than we know after years of worshiping side by side in a pew! Table groups are our version of a "small group" where we form relationships of mutual support. We currently have 7 table groups, and each group has a host who coordinates the gathering time (quarterly, monthly, or seasonally as each group determines for themselves) and offers one thoughtful question to spark conversation. The rest of the growth happens naturally, as you begin to share more life with one another. While table groups function as a consistent gathering of 6-12 people, we know life is fluid. That's why people can join a table group at any point! You can also volunteer to host a table group, and we will coordinate the initial members and point of contact. It truly is a gift to be connected!

Coffee HourWe are ALL smiles during coffee hour. This weekly gathering takes places immediately following worship in Bradford Hall (downstairs). Be watching the e-news for updates on when our Executive Council and Trustees determine we will resume coffee hour, which is temporarily suspended due to Covid-19.
When we ARE enjoying one another's company after worship, various groups sign-up to host coffee hour, providing a simple snack and coffee. Individuals, groups, and families are always welcome to host a coffee hour in honor of a milestone event. Birthdays, anniversaries, baptisms, weddings, births, and retirements are all the sweeter when we share the joy among our church family. |
Special EventsOur church is filled with heart, and in addition to coffee hour, we enjoy hosting several special events throughout the year. Souper Bowl of Caring Soup Potluck; Lenten Wednesday Evenings; Messy Church; Christian Ed. celebrates Confirmations, Baptisms, and Graduations; Deacons host the Veterans Benefit Pheasant Feed; Oahe Association & SD conference gatherings regularly occur in our church; Women's Fellowship hosts a number of funeral luncheons, Christmas Cafe and Bake Shoppe, and a summer women's event; Vacation Bible School is as fun for the adult volunteers as it is for the kids; We enjoy summer Worship in the Park w/ a shared meal, and we regularly participate in community events like the Fourth of July Parade in Ft. Pierre and Oahe Days. We never pass up a new opportunity to enjoy one another's company and welcome in new friends!

Women's Fellowship & GuildsWe have an active crew of women who host special luncheons, coordinate the kitchen supplies, organize our annual Christmas Cafe & Bake Shoppe, serve at funeral receptions, and tend to all things hospitality. We also have 3 guilds that meet monthly for a variety of purposes: Riggs Guild meets for breakfast & study; Mayflower Guild meets for a potluck and program; Altar Guild meets to beautify our worship space; Women's Fellowship Board meets as representatives of each guild to administer church-wide hospitality events and needs. They also offer "camperships" to students wishing to attend Placerville Camp during the summer.
